Day 7: Closing in on the Clouds!

Today was our second day in Innsbruck and it was a good one. We had a typical European breakfast at the hotel filled with lots of breads, meat and cheese, and then headed to a nearby village called Meiders. We took a cable car ride up the very top of a mountain and I've never felt so close to the clouds. It literally felt like we were on top of the world! We visited the cafe at the top of the mountain and enjoyed drinking Eiskaffees (almost like a coffee milkshake). We took a toboggan ride down from the top of the mountain which was really cool but much colder than I expected due to the speed and the wind.

In the afternoon, Leo led us on an excursion to Schwimmbad Tivoli. The place has several outdoor pools with diving boards, surrounded by a sunbathing lawn and splendid views of Innsbruck’s mountain scenery.
