Today was an amazing day! We spent the morning at The Neuschwanstein Castle, about a two hour drive from Munich. This castle was built by King Ludwig II. He was the king of Bavaria until his mysterious death in 1886. He was known as the "mad" king who cut everyone out of his life and was obsessed with monarchies of the past. The castle was enormous and to see it in person was insane.

Our bus ride continued where we saw stunning Alpine vistas along the way. We stopped at a nearby lake for a swim in the rain which was really cool.

We decided as a group to take a break from the Bavarian cuisine and we had an Asian Asian dinner. I enjoyed rice, noodles, and dumplings.
