This morning was quite a different kind of morning, and not an easy experience to write about, as we visited the Dachau Concentration Camps. It is difficult to think about the horrific events that happened here. But as difficult as it is, we also know how important it is to pay our respect to the many who suffered and died.

After lunch, we went on a bike tour of Munich. I learned that the name of the city, München, means “home of the monks.” We saw many monk iconography everywhere, including Munich’s coat of arms.

We had dinner at “Augustiner-Keller - the best biergarten in Munich,” according to our tour guide.  Augustiner-Keller dates back to 1812. The restaurant had a beautiful outdoor terrace. Our tour was lucky and we got to have dinner outside.
